Kirkland Minoxidil
Kirkland Minoxidil is a product specifically designed to stop, and even reverse hair loss in men of all ages, and I will be describing the details of the product in this Kirland Minoxidil review. It is a topical solution that is applied twice per day directly to the scalp in areas where there is noticeably thinning hair. Use of this product any more often will not improve your results. Generally, people using this product experience results in approximately two months, but can take as long as four months, depending on the degree of hair loss, age, and other factors. It is recommended so stop use of the product if hair loss does not cease or regrowth does not begin after a period of four months.
The active ingredients in this product are as follows:

Alcohol- 30%
Propylene Glycol- 50%
Purified water- 15%
Minoxidil is a vasodilator, and just recently was made available for purchase over the counter. The product must be used indefinitely to continually support existing hair follicles, as well as supplement the growth of new hair follicles as well.
Interestingly enough, Minoxidil was originally a prescription drug that was used for the treatment of high blood pressure. It was discovered that it had the unique side effect of darkening fine body hairs, and even promoting the growth of new hair.
The mechanism behind Minoxidil is not fully understood by medical scientists. The hypothesis that is most usually accepted and promoted is that Minoxidil widens the blood vessels of the scalp, and therefore allows more oxygen, blood, and nutrients to access the hair follicle. Another important fact to know about Minoxidil is the fact that it is significantly more effective in men who are on the younger side, and have been experiencing a degree of hair loss for a period of less than 5 years.
Kirkland Minoxidil Side Effects
A few common side effects of this product may include a mild burning sensation or irritation of the eye, a degree of redness or irritation of the area applied. Anyone using this product should discontinue use is they experience any of the following more serious side effects: Tightness in the chest, rash or hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the fact, lips or tongue, any degree of chest pain, fainting or light headedness, increased heartbeat, unexplained weight gain, or any swelling of the hands and feet. Although these are very rare, they are worth mentioning. Other less serious side effects include dandruff, or mild itching. Kirkland minoxidil foam has a slightly lower occurrence of these side effects.
Overall, I believe that this is a very useful product. I have been using it for many years as I started to lose my hair around the age of 41. I started using it immediately when I noticed a change in the thickness of my hair. My hair loss has stopped, and I have even regrown a bit of it as well.
